Property detailed description
The Guest Cabin sits at the edge of a cottonwood grove with a trout stream running through and affords spectacular mountain vistas for wildlife viewing. There is a sun deck, a stream-side BBQ pit with stone fire ring, a large wood picnic table and benches, a tree swing and horseshoe pits. The covered entrance to the Guest Cabin includes antler pegs to hang your coats, hats and wet waders, and a rod rack to store your fly rods.

Let's go inside. The interior is comfortably decorated in an anglers motif. A library of fly fishing and Montana history books are available for that bedtime read. Your private log cabin with bath is comfortably furnished with a queen log bed and oversized log bunk beds, rocking chairs, a large desk with swivel chair, a beverage refrigerator, microwave, plates, bowls, flatware, cups, glasses, music system, coffee and tea service and telephone. A log stairway leads up to a loft for peaceful naps and to store your baggage out of the way.

The Guest Cabin is the perfect spot for your Montana vacation. We invite you to come and enjoy the peace and quiet and settle in for a restful and relaxing visit under the Big Sky. The abundance and variety of wildlife makes this Rocky Mountain location so exceptional. Bring your binoculars and camera, as, depending on the season, you'll have the opportunity to see mule deer, elk, wolves, mountain goats, big horn sheep, white tail deer, bear and moose. There are numerous bird species in Paradise Valley including, American bald and golden eagles, owls, hawks, falcons, wading birds, hummingbirds, and many song birds.

Guests have private access to over a million acres of public land, including those in the Gallatin National Forest and the Absaroka/Beartooth Wilderness. There are trails to hike, peaks to climb and pristine areas to explore. With world class fly fishing, anglers enjoy floating the Yellowstone River, at the end of the road, fishing gin clear mountain streams, or matching their skills with wary spring creek trout on DePuy, Nelson or Armstrong Spring Creeks. The fabled rivers and streams of Yellowstone National Park, such as the Gardner, Soda Butte, the Lamar and Slough Creek, are only a short distance up the Valley. The fishing doesn't get any better than here. Professional guide service and fishing information are available on site for an enjoyable day astream.

In the Spring migratory birds return, newly born calf elk appear on the mountain, the first tiny wildflowers bloom, and most streams open for fishing in late May. As Summer unfolds, the meadows turn to green, the robins have their chicks, elk and deer are minding their young, rodeo season is under way, floating the wild Yellowstone River is enjoyed, and horseback riding and hiking are always fun with wildflowers in full bloom.

With Fall approaching, the days get shorter, the elk are bugling, the bears feast on apples, mushrooms and late summer berries, tomatoes ripen, the hummingbirds head south, the cottonwoods and aspens slip on their golden coats, nights are cooler and the flannel sheets and wool blankets are welcomed. When Winter sets in and snow is on the mountain, the squirrels, finches and chickadees cluster at the feeder, elk graze the foothills, and skiers head for the slopes or the back country.

We are minutes from Chico Hot Springs, mid-way between Livingston and Yellowstone National Park.
Open all year, we invite you to our site for further information and welcome your inquiry.
