| Watch the sunrise over beautiful Torch Lake from this 3 bedroom retreat located right on the midwestern shore. The cedar interior, wall of windows overlooking the lake, and brick wood-burning fireplace set the tranquil mood in this cozy UpNorth tri-level home. It features many unique collections, furniture and decor. A main floor master bedroom, full bath, and living spaces are all handicap accessible. The fully equipped kitchen has an island with bar stools. Enjoy the view of the lake from the dining and living rooms, and walk out to the expansive deck where there is a gas grill and seating. Upstairs find two bedrooms for kids with twin beds, each with a trundle bed underneath. In the loft there is a small desk. The lower level features a large family room and entertainment system, a pool/game table, bar cabinet and computer nook. A display of electric model trains complete with landscaped tabletop railway adds interest. Walk out through sliding doors to the front lawn, picnic table and fire pit. Follow the planked boardwalks and footpaths through the wooded surroundings. Go down a dozen steps to 110 ft of shoreline to the boat dock to take a dip in clear water. The lake bottom is a mix of sand and rocks, perfect for the rockhounder yet good for walking barefoot. A depth of 3 ft as far as 40 ft out makes this lake ideal for children. An anchoring buoy is available for mooring. Launch your watercraft from the public access less than 1/2 mile north of the house. The dock will draft a boat up to 22 ft. When planning your boating excursion, be sure to follow the Chain of Lakes including Torch, Bellaire, Clam and Skegemog. Traverse City is a 30 minute drive, where you ll find movie cinemas, shopping malls, historic downtown district and municipal parks, festivals, famous winery tours, casino, casual to fine dining, many championship golf courses and so much more. Visit nearby villages of Kewadin, Elk Rapids, Acme, Williamsburg, Eastport, Bellaire and Charlevoix. |
