GREAT Self-contained clean Cabins and other great accommodations.
Alaska adventurers from around the world come back year after year to experience the magnificent scenery,world class fishing, and our first rate
accommodations centrally located on the Beautiful Kenai Peninsula.
Many guests take day trips to either Homer or Seward. Near Soldotna, 3 hour drive from Anchorage. 2 min drive to the Kenai River. Fishing guides available. Open year round!
For your convenience, each of our rentals has a fully equipped kitchen (large fridge, microwave, stove/oven, complimentary coffee/tea, and all dishes and cookware), TV (ask for a DVD player if you need one!), phone and outdoor BBQ. We also have 3 large chest freezers available for your use. or
there are numerous fish processing businesses locally.
Alaska Mountainview Cabins are centrally located on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula, just south of Anchorage (140 miles) and just north of Soldotna & Kenai, and an easy 15 minute walk to the famous Kenai River, via Morgan's Landing State Recreation Area.
The Kenai Peninsula's two main fishing ports, Homer and Seward, boast a variety of marine wildlife and unforgettable sightseeing Kenai Fjords trips,
and other marine wildlife excursions are available. It's an easy 90 minute commute and scenic drive to either Homer or Seward, and many of our guests
take day trips either directions.
Outdoor activities are numerous and varied on the Kenai. Besides the spectacular salmon fishing, there is also trout and record-breaking halibut
fishing. Clams are plentiful and clam digging excursions can be guided or you can hit the beach with a shovel and bucket on your own.
River rafting on the upper Kenai is exciting and scenic. If you prefer to set your own pace on the water, the local canoe trails are numerous and
easily accessible. You can rent canoes in Sterling and they fit on the top
of any car.
Hiking trails vary from easy walks around wooded lakes to more challenging treks with breathtaking mountain and glacial views. (we have a map for our
guests to use, it gives you an IN-DEPTH DESCRIPTION of all the hiking trails in our area.) Horseback riding into Alaskan back country is becoming popular
with many outfitters ready to help you on you way.
Flight seeing is another lifetime memory. You can fly over glaciers, view the bears and numerous other wildlife and fantastic scenery.
Alaska Kenai Peninsula fishing produces the worlds largest King Salmon.
Large runs of Sockeye, Silvers, Pink Salmon and Trophy Trout fishing are available.
Remote lakes and rivers can be assessed by float planes
Halibut fishing is spectacular and will be a lifetime memory! Alaska Mountainview Cabins uses only the most experienced and respected guides available, to ensure that you will have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
For the "Do-It-Yourself" fishermen, we can provide you with up to date fishing reports, maps and locations.
We can easily help you arrange salmon and halibut charters, marine
excursions into the Kenai Fjords National Park, and rafting adventures. |
