Situated within only two minutes walking distance from Marigot Bay Marina Village, La Kaye, translated to “Home” from Creole (Patois) to English sits with a view of the famous Marigot Bay. Marigot Bay is well known for the 1967 filming of Dr. Doolittle and consider by James Michener as the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean. La Kaye is a two bedroom house which sleeps 4. The first bedroom is en-suite and contains a queen sized bed. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed but does not contain an ensuite bathroom. However, there is a second bathroom right down the hallway. The bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans for your comfort.
The living room is equipped with cable TV and Air Conditioning.
The kitchen contains a coffee maker, toaster, gas stove and oven, water kettle, fridge-freezer, washer and dryer and other modern kitchen amenities. All linens are provided.
Just a stone’s throw away, catch the ferry to the other side of the bay and enjoy a swim at Labas beach or take a 10 min walk to Trou Rolland (Flying Fish Cove) for some good snorkeling.
The bank and ATM machine, grocery store, French baguette shop, car rental, ceramic and gift shops are all located in the Marina Village. There are selections of restaurants and bars within the bay at which you can dine. Namely, Chateau Mygo which specializes in Creole food - Be sure to catch their live band every Tuesday night. The Boudreau Restaurant and the Hurricane Hole Bar at the Marigot Bay Hotel formerly Discovery Hotel, the famous Rainforest Hideaway, the Marigot Beach Club, Julietta’s restaurant located in the village, and JJ’s Restaurant located at the JJ’s plaza also in the Marigot Village which specializes in local dishes.
