Surrounded by a private acre of beech trees, this charming gambrel cape is set back from the road. The house is decorated with Vermont and Maine handmade beds, Claire Murray hand-hooked area rugs, and handmade quilts. Downstairs is a front-to-back fireplaced livingroom, large kitchen, eating area with room for 12, and full bath. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms and a second full bath. There are hardwood floors throughout the house, and ceiling fans in the bedrooms.
The house has a large library of reading books, DVDs, videos and games for both adults and kids, which are available for your use. There is cable TV with DVD/VHS in the livingroom, and TV/DVD's in two of the bedrooms.
Walking to the beach means carefree living, where everyone can come and go as they wish. Its a 5-minute walk to the Lamberts Cove Beach parking lot, a resident's only private beach with miles of untouched sand dunes. This beach has fine sand, similar to what you find in the Caribbean, and wonderful silver dollar shells. Because it is open to West Tisbury residents and tenants only, it is never crowded. Sunsets on this beach are the best on the island. |
