Property detailed description |
 |
|
| Hale Lana....located at the Manini Beach section of Kealakekua Bay...a small, quiet, low key shoreline community. It is situated among a mix of local style and unique newer homes. Only 459 steps to enter the crystal clear water at palm lined Manini Beach, across from the Captain Cook Monument, for the best snorkeling in the islands. The pristine bay is a protected marine preserve and underwater park providing numerous water activities and whale and spinner dolphin sightings. Hale Lana is removed from noise and traffic and is fully fenced for added privacy. The home is a new superbly crafted luxurious tropical pole and beam design showcasing natural woods, Italian slate tile, granite, new island style furnishings and a ten jet spa tub. There are large indoor and and an outdoor walk-in showers. The high open beam ceilings, roof cupola, ceiling fans and louvred transoms efficiently allow the balmy breezes and scents of the bay and surrounding plumeria trees to float through! There are ample lanais and patios to relax in sun or shade while taking in the sounds of the waves and birds and the 360 views of the ocean and mountain. It is easy to let yourself "hang loose" at Hale Lana. Grocery stores, shopping and numerous restaurants are a 15 minute drive away. There are many areas to explore on foot. Historic Place of Refuge (a National Park featuring Hawaiian historical and cultural displays, whale watching, picnics, sunsets under palm trees and dating from the 1500's) is three miles away. Keei (a white san, surfing beach, home to many visible turtles and shaded by palm trees) is a short walk or drive away. Kayak rental (and launching with all you need) is a block away. Hale Lana is conveniently located between "downtown" Kailua-Kona (for extensive shopping, dining, boat harbor and night-life) and the volcano and green and black sand beaches to the south, making it an ideal "home base". Relax on any of the numerous nearby beaches or get on the road for easy short or day trips to explore all the big island has to offer! We provide all linens, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, BBQ grill, off street parking and fully equipped kitchens. |
