Whether it's a quiet romantic getaway or a restful family vacation-this newly constructed cottage will be the highlight of your summer. Located just feet from waters edge you have easy access to a private sandy beach. The shallow water is warm for swimming. lupines and wildflowers are abundant. Many species of birds will serenade you with song. There is a seal island just offshore with 50-75 seals at low tide. Spruce and oak trees offer a wonderful canopy. A state recreational area is adjacent offering tranquility and privacy. A kayak rack for your convenience is on the beach in front of the cottage.

The Beach along a pine mulch path is the stairway to the beach. Two Adirondack chairs await the comfort seekers on a platform at the top of the stairs. The view is spectacular as you look south along the Penobscot toward Castine and Ft. Point. You are only 15 steps to the sandy beach where you can stroll for 1 plus miles without interruption . Swimming in the cold waters of Maine is always a challenge but not at the Cottage. The water is warm and there is sand instead of rocks. There is a kayak rack for 6 boats just beyond the high water mark. It is not necessary to drag or carry your kayak - just leave it at the waters edge until your ready for you next paddle. This year's Lobster Festival is August 3rd-7th in Rockland....this is a must! Convenient shopping, medical clinics, pharmacies, restaurants and supplies can be found in nearby Bucksport, Searsport, and Belfast. There is a full service hospital in Belfast. Family dining to fine dining facilities are abundant.
