Built in 1875 for cotton factor J. Guerrard Heyward (great grandson of Thomas Heyward, signatory to The Declaration of Independence) and his wife, Pauline DeCaradeuc Heyward (whose journal was published as "A Confederate Lady Comes of Age"), it is the only original Charleston-Single style home in Savannah.

We offer the first floor of our home, measuring some 1500 square feet of inside living area, with a 45-foot piazza (porch) with wicker furniture, overlooking a koi pond (relax with morning coffee, evening drinks, or just a good book). Conveniently located two blocks from Forsythe Park, this apartment was designer-decorated.

Fifteen miles to beaches, water activities.

Amenities include:

Large bedroom (“Pauline’s Room”) with hand-carved antique rococo double bed, bay windows with view of koi pond, and private door leading to the piazza.

Second bedroom (“Elise’s Room’) has a queen-sized bed.

TV lounge (“Guerard’s Room”) has sofa bed, suitable for one, or two very friendly people.

All linens are fine quality.

The large, fully-furnished living room (“Heyward-DeCaradeuc Room”) has large bay windows.

There are one and a half baths with ample towels, bath blankets, and beach towels.

Gourmet kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge with ice/water dispenser. Fully fitted out with dinnerware, pots & pans, utensils, toaster, coffee/espresso maker, etc.

Central A/C
32" widescreen TV with DirectTV satellite and DVD/video player.
Bose Wave Music System with CD player.
Wireless internet.

Off-street parking for two vehicles.

$195/night, with a two night minimum stay, plus applicable taxes.
7th night free.
50% of total rental fee to confirm reservation.
All monies are refundable if cancelled two weeks prior to scheduled arrival.
Remainder of rental fee and $200.00 refundable damage deposit are due on arrival.
